Gambling - 3 years clean!

Three years clean this week from gambling. I use to lie, borrow and waste money. Thankfully I was on good money and I still have house(s) and savings and my wife stood by me - just! Must have lost £100k over the years.
My lightbulb moment was when bookies started closing my accounts because I'd started to do 'matched betting' (guaranteed wins) and they weren't happy. So basically they'd take my money on mug bets but not on those mathematically in my favour.
So happy with life now. You'll never win. That's my story. Wish I could turn the clock back 30 years.

Well done you.
Dont look back and say "what if", that way lies madness IMO.
Just give your wife a big hug and a kiss every day and appreciate every moment you have ahead.Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)4 -
Well done you, glad it worked out for you.
I've been watching Peter Shilton talk about his gambling addiction recently.

EXCELLENT Well done you! If you dont do this already maybe look into becoming a mentor /coach for a local gambling advice charity. SO many more people out there need help from those that have been there.Shy Bairns Get Nowt2

Well done to you for stopping the habit and turning things around.
You are giving others who are going through a similar situation hope.2 -
What London21 said.Don't think about wanting to turn the clock back, you are an example and inspiration to those struggling to find their way out of a hole. You can only look to build a brighter future.May you find your sister soon Helli.

Didn't want to read and run without saying well done!!! What an amazing achievement. You must be so proud of yourself and you have every right to be0

Very well done. We've probably all got regrets about things we've done in the past, maybe not the same magnitude as yours but all we can do is look to the future and make the best of what lies ahead, and not dwell on the past. Very best wishes to you and your wife for the future.0
