Advice needed re 90 day PCR positive result possibility vs Day 2 PCR obligatory test

Apologies if this has already been covered, but I will have had COVID in the 90 days prior to going abroad and then returning to the UK and have been told that I cannot take a PCR test during that time as I may test positive because it is still in my system. Do I seriously have to buy a test for the reference number and then not take it?

Buy it, use it and let others worry about the results of it.Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.0
