Hello, I wonder if anyone can help. I have emailed Imagine & await their reply.
Back in Feb I booked a cruise through Imagine using some vouchers I had as a deposit. It’s not until June 2022. Last month, the cruise company messaged me to say that the date had been brought forward a day and also the itinerary was different, dropping a couple of destinations and adding others that didn’t really appeal. It told me I had a week to decide whether to take the new version or click for a refund. I did nothing as I was waiting for imagine to get in touch, with whom I paid the vouchers. They didn’t get in touch so I contacted them today & they had no notification of the changes & could I forward them the email, which I have. My question is, am I within my rights to switch to another cruise as I don’t fancy this one anymore? Like I would be if an airline made a change? The one I fancy is with another cruise company too so it be a bit of a faff for them but I’m not asking for a refund. Thanks I advance!

Based on your own comments, the cruise line gave you 7 days to cancel the cruise you had booked and you took no action, so the right to cancel and then book an alternative cruise appears to have lapsed. By all means, talk to the agent and see if they can still cancel it for you but you must be aware that some destinations have simply said 'no' to any cruise ships for fear of re-importing Covid1

Package regulations apply, sections 11 and 13 are applicable to cancellation/change by operator.

Comes down to is a 7 day cut off reasonable to make a decision.
Even cruise only counts as a package as it includes transport and accommodation.1 -
Thanks for the replies. Managed to move the booking to a Virgin Cruise in March.0
