Moving Samsung Tablet Navigation Buttons

The close, back and recent navigation buttons on my Galaxy Tab A Android tablet are at the bottom of the screen.

My previous Galaxy buttons where at the side. I'm still using it when charging the newer Tab A.

How can I  move the on screen buttons from the bottom to the side?

It is very easy to dab the close button in error when using the "on screen" keyboard  space bar.

Hope the above makes sense.

Change from it being visible to 'Swipe Gestures' .... Settings - Display - Navigation bar.

I'm not a big "Swipe" fan, but now trying out "move to left" after your post.
