Moss on tarmac driveway

Hello,

Over the past couple of months a lot of moss has started growing on parts of my tarmac driveway. I don't want to take a power house to it in case it damages the tarmac - has anyone any suggestions on how to kill/get rid of the stuff?

Thanks!

  • A power hose really shouldn't cause any damage at all to a tarmac driveway.

A power hose badly damaged our last tarmac , I personally wouldn't advise this. You can also end up with awful lines where the pressure washer has been.
I think there's a chemical you can use to get rid of the moss with a good scrub and a bit of elbow grease.;)

Jeyes fluid, you really cannot beat it and no damage which a power hose will inflict, just brush it in and leave it a while then hose off ?

Really?! The water must have been at some incredible pressure. A properly constructed tarmac driveway shouldn't really be affected by a bit of highish pressure water. Anyhow, as mentioned there are other ways available if you don't want to take the risk. ;)
