Hello all, we had a beautiful day here yesterday so I did a load in the wm and dried it outside, then cut back my hydrangea as it will be in the way of the new drive 🙁 It's such a same as it was already established when we moved here in 1986, so it's pretty old ( like me ! ) Joan-next-door did tell me that it was here in the 50's but I'm not so sure about the accuracy of that information. Now today we're back to the pouring rain and it's dark, miserable and chilly, it was 8 degrees at 5am now it's a balmy 11 degrees. I shall go and change the bed in a mo then give the bedroom a lick and a promise. I want to put on the extra quilt and change the cotton sheets over to the flannelette ones. There's no chance of getting the bedding washed and line dried today, maybe the weather will be kinder tomorrow.Tea tonight will be chicken tikka with rice and onion bhajis, haven't had a curry for a while so I'm looking forward to it and there's the last of the crumble to be had for pud. I will admit I was really naughty last night as I had a very sweet tooth that I couldn't satisfy with a choc biscuit, so I sat watching TV with a small pot of jam that I had made from the leftover juice from the crumble fruit, and just a spoon, that soon hit the spot 🤗Right enough waffling I must get going and strip the bed, but another coffee calls first I think.TA hope your jab goes ok.Scarlett sorry DGS has been in hospital and I hope he recovers quickly.NMLC what a disappointment about the first car, hope the new one turns out to be better for you.Take care, stay safe and keep warm and dry if you can. Hugs to the poorly ones, especially Nels 💛nan xx

Hi everyone,
Well I got through to the surgery, I rang just as the time clicked over to 8 and I was still 11th in the queue, I realised that you were able to press the extension number you wanted as soon as you got through instead of waiting for the end of their interminable covid announcements. Anyway I had a call with a Doctor and have an ecg booked for Monday. He said they may well refer me but need a baseline ecg first.
That means I have boob squeezing at 2 and ecg at 3 on Monday.
I had a lovely afternoon with Esben, he was in a very giggly mood and had a great time playing with the old brio train set, I got a battery operated train because we only had push along ones and he was fascinated by it.
Today I want to do some sewing and watch the match at lunchtime and strictly tonight, very lazy. We'll be eating the aubergine parm lasagne I made last week with some salad.10 -
Good Morning, just😁
Still pouring down here, makes me want to curl up under a blanket and do nothing😴
I was quite busy yesterday, I went through all my expanding folders of old paperwork, why I've still got receipts from 2010 I don't know😂
I now have 4 sacks of scrunched up paper for burning 🔥 then I sorted out the cupboard we keep games in and have put some out for the charity shop, some we've never even opened.
At the moment I'm drinking coffee ☕ and watching Australian Ninja Warrior, I may or may not do something more productive later😉
Have a good day x8 -
Wild and windy here in Kent, so rainy day jobs for me. Doing som patchwork sewing to make some new cushions, and some next year allotment planning too, to get seeds if needed.

Yellow weather warning here - very wet and windy - staying indoors. It was 18 degrees when I got up so heating set on 19 to take off the chill. The arthritis in my feet was bad yesterday - must have been the rain coming.
Will do a chocolate tray bake tonight when I cook dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45
