children on PLF, codes for PCR

We’re off to Spain in mid Oct for a week with 2 young children. I’m relying to get prepared and make sure I know what I’m doing before I fly. Infuriatingly, you can’t have a look at the PLF before you go on holiday as you have to fill in max 48 hours before return and it’s stressing me out.
Will my PCR code be in an email or do I need the box and to open it up / find code inside?
can one family go on the PLF or one for each family member?
where do I put PCR codes for children on the form?
I wish I could see it in advance to check I have everything with me before I travel.

You PCR code is given to you by e-Mail when you book and pay for your test - it is the booking reference that you need
You need a separate PLF for each adult and you add the children’s details to the adults form ( either add both child to one form - or one on each )You can do a practice PLF - just don’t submit it .0 -
If you want to do a full check you can make up your own PCR test code and it will be accepted. The site only pretends to check them against a database.
Using RANDXxxxxxxx (replacing x's with random numbers) will work.0 -

Using RANDXxxxxxxx (replacing x's with random numbers) will work. This is true - the only thing checked by the PLF is that the five letters belong to a registered test supplier. I have heard of people using the same number for a test that they had previously purchased. Additionally, there is no follow up to check that a test has been done (or what the result of said test is) after return to the UK - so what is the purpose of the test? This adds to the cynicism that the return to the UK test is merely a money generating rackett for testing firms (who may or may not have links to government ministers).0
