Igloo issue - ex supplier

Wondering if anyone has any advice. We switched from Igloo to another supplier in July. Between then they completely messed up the opening / closing meter reading and Igloo issued our final bill at a totally unrealistic estimated meter reading, despite us having a smart meter fitted by them.
We had a credit balance with them and got about £200 refunded at the time but I reckon they still owe us about £150
i have contacted them and they say a final bill meter dispute has been raised but will take 8-10 weeks to resolve. I’ve about 5 weeks left on that timescale.

Now they’ve gone bump, what will happen to our dispute does anyone know? I assume we won’t be transferred anywhere as we aren’t a current customer but I’m worried we will lose the money now.
Any advice?

Hi, what supplier did you move to from Igloo? Is there much of a difference in the price of each unit between Igloo and your new supplier?0
-
I’ve no idea.. moved on the basis on the energy club recommendation. The new supplier has the wrong reading as well so they are currently not billing us as they are waiting for igloo to sort it out.DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Exactly who are your new supplier? How wrong were your meter readings? Did both suppliers use the same wrong readings or were they different? When you switched you should have supplied yourt meter readings to your (as-yet-unnamed) new supplier. Your new supplier will then have passed them to an industry intermediary who would them hasve validated them and given them to both suppliers to use.Resolving any dispute you might have regardign threse meter readings is your new supplier's responsibility. As for any credit balance, this will be refunded to you by Igloo's SoLR once the dispute has been settled.N. The reading is allowed to be different from reality when it is adjusted by the industry process, but there are limits, how many kWh are we talking about?
Your account will be transferred to the SoLR even though you are not currently an active customer.0 -
I don’t know how many kWh but the reading they used was over 10000 when in reality we are on 8500 ish.Thank you for your responses so farDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
