TSB Internet Banking. Mem Info.

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone has perhaps had the same issue as me and can help.

I've a new account with TSB and going through the internet banking sign-up was going well until I was asked to enter memorable information. I keep getting error messages whatever I try and use as my memorable information despite it being fully in line with their specified criteria. This has been happening over the course of a few days and over a number of devices and browsers. Their online help AI was unsurprisingly both unintelligent and unhelpful. Has anyone had a similar experience and how was it resolved. Thanks.

I guess you are following their criteria which I have just copied from the TSB online banking change memorable information page.

Enter your new memorable information:(you should use 6 - 15 characters, at least 3 letters and 1 number, no spaces, hyphens or special characters, not your username or password information)

Are you using your name in it? I had this problem once. It didn't tell me that was the problem, but when I changed it it suddenly worked!

Hi both. Yes I've stuck to their criteria - the 2 slightly different versions on different help pages. Not including names or birthdays. No joy.

Edit: Got it now - just keep trying I guess. a load of random capitals and 2 numbers did the trick.

Glad it worked, but there must be some underlying issue with their software if memorable information includes a load of random capitals. I am surprised about the capitals as I didn’t think it was case sensitive.

It isn't. It can't be: if you log in to Internet Banking (i.e., web browser, not phone app) you have to select characters from a drop-down list that has no upper-case characters. Mine is a few lower case letters and a numeral. I didn't use upper case at all when I set it up.

That is my point. The OP may have entered capitals, but that is irrelevant as regards getting their memorable information accepted.
