Ryanair cancelled flights, used chargeback now outstanding balance

Hi wondering if anyone can help. So during coronavirus pandemic I had flights booked and ryanair changed the flight dates I couldn’t go on the new dates. Long story short ended up having to use card chargeback. Now I thought it was resolved after sending my dispute to ryanair, however I have booked flights somewhere for next week with ryanair, went to check in and couldn’t load my booking. I then had to call them and they advised me there was an outstanding balance(which was for the flights they changed dates and I used chargeback for)I had no clue this outstanding balance was still there. They are saying I have to pay that before getting on my flight next week or won’t be allowed to board. Will my name be black listed completely or can I still add on to another booking with someone else’s account and them as lead passenger??? I am disputing this further as I am not paying that outstanding balance. Appalling service from them and after next week I won’t be using their airlines again
thanks in advance

There are lots of similar cases in the overseas travel board. In nearly every case the chargeback was not justified and the amount was therefore legally theirs. You can rebook with others, but you will have to pay today's price for the flight next week, and I don't think that is the solution you want. Did you actually cancel the original flights or simply look for a claim from your card. If the flight was changed by a day, Ryanair would have allowed a free cancellation, it sounds as though you might not have done that?1

Fairly standard for Ryanair1

You'd have needed to cancel before the chargeback, and it's possible that you have not done so from your post. To do so in these circumstances would have been free, however not doing so means there were seats reserved for you on the re-booked flight.
You would therefore have been classed as a no show for the re-dated flights and therefore have claimed a chargeback incorrectly, leaving Ryanair now chasing the money you owe them for the flights you chose not to take but had a confirmed reservation for.
Of course, you won't be allowed to board your flight unless you pay the money owed to the company.
I'm confused why after the problems you had last year you chose to use them again.💙💛 💔0 -

Unfortunately, on many routes there's no real competition. If Ryanair operate the direct flight, the alternatives are to fly to another city in the same country or to take an indirect flight.
