We have it written in our wills that a large lump sum is to be put aside to care for our cats to whichever of our relatives takes ownership of them.My SIL is more than happy to take them, the bad news is that our oldest might not come out quarantine the other end (she lives the other side of the world). Although my wife's friend's little boy would take our youngest at a shot.May you find your sister soon Helli.

I’d be looking for a bull terrier charity to find someone willing to take on an ageing idiot dog - there’s not going to be a huge queue. Tbh, I’d prefer he was put to sleep rather than stay in kennels for any length of time. Bullies aren’t cut out for kennel life at the best of times.
Please, when are you going to bring out a book about life with Gitdog? I would be in the queue to buy a copy (and I am a cat person).Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)4 -

I have spoken to my dog runner about this whole problem . She knows and cares for my dogs and would happily take them in- for good. This is also written into my will with the added proviso that money is attached to their adoption.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
