Twist or stick

The day before Green went to the wall I received confirmation of a 2-year fived deal switch I had accepted to move to British Gas. Two days later I had a message from Shell saying they'd be taking over my account at Ofgem's undisclosed price cap terms cost.
I have 7 days from now to decide if I go with BG, but have yet to know what Shell will offer.
What's best?
Any views from anyone?

Shell will probably offer their standard variable tariff, which will should be at or below the current price cap.

If your offer from BG is less than the cap then take it, if not stay where you are. You need to do your sums

Shell looks to be a lot more than my Green tariff .
As above sums and unit prices   , note standing charges have doubled for many .
