Pockit pre paid card

Hi, is Pockit pre paid card a scam. Trying to open account card come despite not putting any money in account, had problemws using the app. No response when trying to phoning. Has anybody any experience of this company please.

I used them very briefly a number of years ago before I could open a proper UK account. As long as you opened the account yourself and you didn't just get a card in the mail randomly one day then I'd say they are perfectly "safe" (in the sense that it's not a scam - they aren't a proper bank and your money doesn't have FSCS protection as far as I'm aware). They don't have a reputation for good customer service however, although the one time I had to get in touch by email they replied fairly quickly.1

Although it may not qualify as a scam, Pockit has a dismal reputation and near nonexistent customer service, plus various fees. Why not open a fee-free basic account with a real bank instead..?
