Bay Window Copper Roof - Leaking

Hi
We have two front bay windows that both leaked over winter.
We'd intended to strip off the covering & re-roof with a GRP covering. When the roofer came to look at the roof we realised that the roof has a copper covering.
He told us that the copper covering wouldn't leak & the water must be getting underneath from around the edges.
I'm wondering whether we should replace the entire roof covering or if we can use a copper tape or something similar to seal the edges to prevent the leaking.
Any advice ?
Cheers
Jenny

Why did you not ask the roofer?I think this depends on the design and condition and, most likely, can be repaired, but definitely not with a copper tape.1

If it is copper, you don't want to be replacing it with GRP. If there are any holes, they can be easily repaired with a drop of solder. Any leaks are probably down to the flashing, so get that checked out first.
