Bit late
But after paying court bailiff fees )they helped me out no end) we got an address where they could take action and they issued a warrant. I got my money back less the fees.

Well that's good to know that sometimes you can actually recover money in these cases!1

Would have loved to see the episode of "Call the Bailiffs" where they turn up at "HQ" and start listing the receptionists potted plants and chrome and glass occasional table.2

Never seen it, but would tune in for that episode.robatwork said:Would have loved to see the episode of "Call the Bailiffs" where they turn up at "HQ" and start listing the receptionists potted plants and chrome and glass occasional table.

"eBay as an entity don't exist in the UK, so you've already flushed money down the pan"
To be fair the advice against chasing unenforcable debts is excelent but only if the advisor is aware as to whether the debt is unenforcable or not

The best ones of these are when they have a enforcement notice against an airline. Not surprisingly this is quite common. I've seen them confiscate a plane's papers and take control of the plane (end point would be hauling it away and selling). Also shut down a live check-in until one of the admin staff actually paid from her own credit card to get it back open again.HillStreetBlues said:

Yes, there are lots of "experts" on here. if you look at the thread many said I could not take eBay to court.. how wrong were they. in the end I was out of pocket by about £120.. but the original debt was for £700 so I was happy to spend £100 to prove a point. If I company is registered in the UK then the debt is enforceable.. Its all very clearpowerful_Rogue said:

ebay are another unscrupulous faceless company.. but I won my little war.. no doubt there are thousands of cases like this every week.. and I bet about 99% just take the loss..2 -
Did the bailiffs actually attend the site or did they negotiate before it got that far?1

I assume they attended as they just told me that had been successful getting my money backrobatwork said:Did the bailiffs actually attend the site or did they negotiate before it got that far?1
