Fix ending help!
Can I ask for some advise please?
Fix with e-on ending 31 Oct.
Am thinking of taking up their standard variable rate but as it starts straight away ( 1month before my fix end) is it better to do it today before the cap rise on 1st Oct or wait untill my fix end date?

wait until the fix ends - you'll default to their SVR on 1st November.1

The variable tariff limit will be the new Cap set by Ofgem which increases tomorrow. As the new Cap would be applied from midnight then I guess that the new Cap prices would apply. If that wasn’t the case, the supplier could just give you 30 days notice of an increase.moonpenny said:Can I ask for some advise please?

If I was you, I would sit out the remainder of your fix; do nothing and you will default to the Cap tariff.1 -
Thank You both, I was a bit confused with the price cap thing.
Will hang on till end of my fix and carry on looking for a "reasonable" fix (wont hold my breath) otherwise go on to their variable rate.0 -
At the moment it seems that the variable rate is cheaper than any fixed rate, so I'd go onto the cheapest variable rate you can find.
