Townhouse vs Terraced - same location

I'm not being funny but who needs 4 toilets? Why on Earth make the garden so small but put in all those bathrooms?Yep a spare loo to avoid arguments, but blimey is this what's selling properties nowadays, more loos than you can sit on.We've just bought an old house with only one loo (only two of us now kids have flown). No one has had to wee in a bucket yet.2

The main thing for me is neighbours.
With the terraced house you have two lots. One lot at each side. What if both lots are noisy? There's no escape. Although it looks as if they may be pretty noisy themselves, what with a guitar and a piano. I love music - but only when I'm making it.
With the town house you have only one set of neighbours and as it's a newer build there may be a chance of some soundproofing having been installed. It depends whether neighbour noise bothers you or not. I hate it. Mainly because I've lived next to some really thoughtless and very noisy people over the years.
The town house looks quite squashy. Not as peaceful as the terraced house, not as spacious and the price is higher. With it having more buildings clustered around it, there's quite a claustrophobic feel.
Basically I wouldn't be able to choose either because neither offers what I'd be looking for - although both would be fabulous if detached. Both are very well maintained though, inside and out.
I'd have to start again. Sorry, that's not really helpful but if you're having to ask a bunch of strangers on t'internet, are you really keen on either? Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. A downstairs loo is handy but I would take the terrace (with garage) everyday of the week - also from street view/satellite images prefer the location of the terrace - At the bottom of your garden, you have your garage with the access road (that runs behind the 3 sets of terraces) before the back gardens of the terraces behind you.
(2 of the houses on one end have added conservatories, 1 the other end has extended)

End terrace with loads of room to extend to the side.0 -
Photo 19 on the 'townhouse' does it for me. The table... The bowl... The lightshade...
Makes the decision a no-brainer, surely?1 -
Out of those two I would take the terrace - it ;looks bigger, you've got outside space, the only downsides you've mentioned are the shared front path and it not being so highly finished, both of which are relatively easy fixes.
But I would prefer not to be in a mid terrace so in you place I would be trying to see if I would find an end terrace or semi what was more like the mid terrace - which given the price difference between the two would probably be possible.
Front garden - it looks as though only the path is shared - you could put in your own path and fence (and almost certainly a new front garden) but as there's also a reasonably sized back garden you might well find that you were fine with the shared path - it's not likely that you'd have anyone else regularly using the actual garden and presumably any children or pets would be out the back, if concerns about fencing and security are in your mind. All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
I would go for the terrace.0

After reading all the replies I started to have second thoughts and probably I will continue my search.
The townhouse is expensive for what it is and the east facing tiny garden would be of very limited use, the mid terrace looks to be an ex-council on a street with a lot of council houses. Nothing wrong with this, everyone should live somewhere.
Previously someone mentioned rightmove.co.uk/properties/113585705#/?channel=RES_BUY which looks nice indeed but also seems to be on a council estate.
Many thanks all for your replies!
