Daily standing charge costs

Options
I have been speaking to a company who are in the process of providing quotes for our small business which our contract soon expires. Firstly they are indicating the best current deal may be a company called Pozitive Energy who i have never heard of, but they also mentioned that the daily standing charges are likely to shoot up next year and could be as much as £4 per day? Has anyone heard this as i cant find anything on the Internet. If it is i dont know whether to try and renew my home contract early as this cost would be huge.

It seems you are mixing business tariffs with home/residential tariffs?

DC's are a rip off whether it's for the home owner or a business. I looked at Octopus energy rates as my recent supplier, Avro, went bust and the daily rates were up to £3.49 when a homeowner pays just over 26p for each utility, so around 53p, per day. I know a business might use a lot of electric and gas per day, especially shops, but small business's, IMHO, shouldn't have to pay the same DC's as larger business's.
Someone please tell me what money is
