Dealing with UClaim4Me

Back in 2018 I used UClaim4Me to investigate possible PPI rebates for me and to their credit they obtained just over £1800 gross for me - obviously they took a commission - and I thought that would have been the end of things. Just lately I have been getting phone calls from their number, although I did not recognise it at the time, and whenever I tried to answer the line just went dead. Thinking it was a scam number I blocked it on my BT black list. I have now received a letter from them asking me to call them as they "have some great news" for me apparently. I'm tempted just to ignore them after reading countless bad reviews about them since my previous involvement with them in 2018. I would have thought any further PPI I was due would have been dealt with back then along with the others and not three years down the line. I was just wondering if any other members have had a similar letter from them and what they have done.

Sensible people will ignore them.
The rest will sign up for a new claim for diesel emissions, investment mis -selling or a whiplash claim and lose further money.1 -
They may be trying to "help" you claim a tax refund in relation to the tax deducted from the statutory interest element of your PPI refund.
Be aware that they cannot do anything you couldn't do yourself and it's possible you may not be due a tax refund in the first place, not everyone who paid tax on the interest is.1 -
If they have such great news, why didn't they just put it in the letter? I mean, why bother to write and tell you that there's great news - but not tell you what it is?! Alarm bells ringing here.
Follow your instinct to ignore them. They are just greedy people, preying on others and hoping they will be as greedy as they are.
They probably mean 'great news' for them - if they can suck you into giving them even more money. I haven't had a letter but I know what I'd do with it.Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. My Mum got a PPI payment then around 3 years another cheque came her way when there had been a miscalculation come to light.
You've dealt with them before with everything going as it should and been invited to get in touch. It's quite different to picking up a not asked for/unexpected cold call with a firm claiming some association to Mr Lewis.
Don't see the drama and not sure why other's bad experiences have to become yours.0 -

Let's not portray those claiming PPI misselling to be sweet innocent angels here.0
