Hi
I have started to have a problem with Outlook in that on occasion when I try to open at attachment in an e mail the attached document is blurred and hazy and I am unable to open any of the links in it. The e mail has come from a reliable source, for example, Nationwide Building Society, so it is genuine.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Try saving the attachment first, for example to your desktop, then open it from there. What file format is it?2

Is this happening with all or any particular type of attachment? PDF? Word Document? Image?
Is this a problem on your phone/mobile device, or on your desktop computer?
A dream is not reality, but who's to say which is which?2 -
I am unable to save the document as I am not able to do anything with it. It is just there faded out with my Username and password showing and a red box below saying sign into your account but when I click on that nothing happens.
There a number of pdf documents below this but I cannot open them wither. I can open the document when I go into Outlook on my phone but I cannot on my pc.0 -
Which Outlook is this?
* The PC application that comes with Microsoft Office?
* The webmail portal accessed via a browser?
* The Mail app on a PC or phone?Rockman60 said:It is just there faded out with my Username and password showing and a red box below saying sign into your account but when I click on that nothing happens.Jenni x2 -
Sorry for not making things clear but as you may have guessed my IT skills are not great.
I received an e mail in Microsoft Outlook from Nationwide Building Society regarding house insurance which I opened on my pc. Within the e mail there was a box which says 'Check my renewal documents'. When I click on this it takes me to my home insurance account. However the page is a grey colour and I cannot click on anything within it.
When I go into Microsoft Outlook on my mobile phone I can open the e mail and click on the links on the attached page so the problem is with my pc.
Sorry that is about as plain as I can make it.0 -
Ah, OK. So the problem isn't about attachments; it's about accessing your NW insurance account page via web browser on your PC.
What browser are you using on your PC?
Can you copy the website link from the email and paste it into the address bar of an alternative browser, and see if that works?Jenni x3 -

Hi. I logged into my Nationwide account and was able to open the documents. Just seems strange that on my mobile I got straight to the documents by clicking on the link in the e mail whereas on my PC I had to log onto my Nationwide account. Anyway the main thing is I was able to read the documents and respond. Thanks everyone for your help.0
