Currys return

Morning

I purchased a tumble dryer online on the 19th September which was delivered by curry's on the 20th September,  when it arrived it did not work, i called them immediately to report that it did not work. i was given another appointment for them to pick up the appliance on the 22nd September.  Nobody arrived. I have since had dates booked for 24th September, 25th September, 27th September, 28th September and 29th September, although this appointment was cancelled on the 28.9.21 because i received a text saying they had attempted to return the item. I rang Currys again and was told they did not have a reason for not being able to return the item. It is now booked in for the 30th September so hopefully someone turns up as I have now had to purchase a new dryer, so the faulty one is sitting in the middle of my kitchen until they send someone to pick it up.

i am also concerned that the 30th September brings it up to 10 days after delivery and after 14 days it says on the website that they will only pick up the item if it has not been opened ???? i am so concerned that i asked currys if i could return the item to the store myself, they have said they will not accept this.

Very frustrating spending hours on the phone to arrange the pick up and no real answers as to why nobody arrived and I have had to take time off work to be here for these delivery dates when nobody showed up or called to say why they weren't coming. the delivery driver did call me on the 28.9.21 at 3.30pm to say they were on there way to pick it up, no-one came and i received a text saying they tried to pick it up but couldn't ( no reason when asked ) only yet another date .  I look forward to your swift response.

That's purely with regards to change of mind purchases, not faulty items. You'll be OK.

Also, don't forget we've had a bit of a fuel issue over those days and so probably could be a reasonable cause for the lack of collection.
