CCJ Threat

I recently had a emergency call out at a train station (equipment on station not working). A few weeks later I started receiving letters for unpaid ticket. I ignored as most advice seems to be to do not acknowledge anything. Now it’s escalated to solicitors threatening CCJ’s. The company has the worst reviews I’ve ever seen, people paying then still getting harassed etc. My concern is getting the CCJ on record. My question is:
1) Can this happen? Can anyone get slapped with a CCJ? I know many advise to ignore but getting a stamp on your credit rating is a big worry regardless of outcome.

2) wished I had just paid the ticket now with the original company but now don’t trust these solicitors. Many reviews state they’ve paid but are still receiving threats. Has that shipped sailed now? Do I have to deal with the solicitors only?
3) apologies for posting a question which has likely been asked many times before but any help would be very much appreciated.

If that is the case, which seems unlikely, report them to the SRA Are yousure that they are using thhreats or telling you the consequence of a sucessful clourt claim? In matters such as this meanings need to be precise.

All, or most of your questions will be answered by reading the newbies thread. Please do so, and read about CCJs on the internet. Have you complained to your MP.? Was the equipment you were servicing owned by the rail company?

Any legal who threatens a CCJ before it's gone to court is just a scaremonger and part of the low life brigade that we see on here.
You only get a CCJ if it went to court, you lost and did not pay .... what you are reading is just utter rubbish
Sounds like a debt collector type of letter and they will have added a fake amount.
If you get a letter before claim giving you 30 days to respond, then come back here.

Which parking firm? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What you should have done is got the TOC who employed you (the client you were called by) to cancel it
They still can!
You don't PAY these things but neither do you ignore them because yes, some of them sue.
Get the TOC to cancel it sharpish.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

But we do not know if OP was working for the railways. He/she could have been fixing a vending machine. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

Was it QDR? They like to lie about the workings of the legal system and are apparently clearly above the law as they can cut out the trial stage and cut straight to the punishment!!! (or so they say)
I got a letter from them last year (like thousands of other people) saying pay the PCN ASAP because they had been instructed by their clients to secure a CCJ against me which will result in my credit rating being trashed thus making me unemployable in addition to an army of bailiffs raiding my house with a warrant and taking all my stuff!!! 😆🤣😹 ....and they wonder why we ignore them!!!
But jokes aside on a serious note not everyone knows how the system works or the law for matter so unfortunately they are defrauded of their cash - much like some scumbag Rogue traders told my elderly neighbours they has to pay thrm to cut a "dangerous" tree down or face legal action. Pretty much the same thing. These letters are preying on people's vulnerabilities and telling people they are in "debt" and will be faced with such sanctions isn't good for people's mental health or those who are vulnerable and this is why they need to be regulated!
I have kept this letter, am waiting on my SAR from QDR (to see what else they have and I can use against them) then will be reporting them to SRA and making an online police report for Fraud at:

If they were being paid by the TOC then perhaps the TOC can cancel it. Have you contacted them?

So you complain to the Station Manager or train operating company (TOC) who can easily cancel these.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
