Outlook & Hotmail Problem

I have Outlook 2003 installed on my machine and have a company POP3 account (Not Exchange).
I have also added a Hotmail account, which I have set up and was running fine.
I was due to leave the company as I had found another position, and therefore began to clean my work laptop, including the removal of the Hotmail account. But when I reloaded Outlook, the Hotmail sub-directory was still there, but when you expanded the directory I go the message telling me it couldnt be opened and that there may be an error with the OST or PST file.
I was offered more money to stay at the company and decided to stay, and then re-added the Hotmail account.
Now I have 2 Hotmail accounts, one works, and one still gives me the same error message. It doesnt appear on the Email Accounts options, and I cant delete it.
I have followed the MS advice and tried to repair the OST and PST files with no luck.
Any thoughts or advice?
