Hi there. I visited somewhere today and uses Ringo to park for an HR. I always use the app but changed my debit card and it somehow defaulted to my fiance's van!! Cue parking ticket. It's £25..I understand my error but seriously didn't realise and we obviously live together and his van was elsewhere. Is it worthwhile contacting them or just pay? My child has special needs and unfortunately life is time poor my end but neither flush with funds

You need to try pepipoo fightback forums using a non Hotmail email address for sign-up and post in the council section over there , after reading the posting requirements they require

This should ne easy to appeal and win if this is the first time it has happened.  Ask pepipoo forum for advice but I reckon the Council will cancel it at first or second appeal.

The only issue is if this isn't your car, because the NTO - next stage to appeal if they play games with you first time - goes to the owner (in fact the keeper as listed at the DVLA).  As long as that is you and the address on your V5C logbook is up to date, appeal both stages and if needed, to the adjudicator, evidencing that the VRM you input belongs to your fiancé by showing the logbook and a screenshot if the VRMs stored on the app on your phone.
