Ealing Council Bus Lane Contravention

hmiah007

Hi

Sorry if this has been posted previously, looking for some advice and guidance.

I received a penalty charge notice through the post today (27/09/2021) for contravention code: 34j (being in a bus lane) which was taken by a road side camera.

According to the letter received this incident took place on the 20/08/2021 which is 38 days ago.

Now I cannot remember who drove the vehicle wether it was my self or one of my brothers as the video isn’t clear so cannot be certain.

Although the pictures/video given shows the vehicle driving onto the bus’s lane, I cannot see who was behind the wheel.

It could of been me driving, if so more then likely would of been due to a medical emergency that I had to get off the road asap to give aid to my son who suffers from seizures or could be one of my brothers whom have access to my vehicle.

Also according to Ealing website it states that bus lane contravention Carry’s a fine of £130 of which will be reduced to £65 if paid within the first 14 days.

However the letter received does not state this and is for the full amount of £130.

I’ve had tickets previously through the post which arrived much quicker then this and has also given the discounted penalty rates but not too sure why this notice isn’t the same.

Any advice or guidance will be highly appreciated.

Regards

Hi, you are best posting a pic of BOTH sides if it on pepipoo forum:

http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

We mainly help with private parking charges here and signpost Council PCNs to pepipoo, where they have more knowledge about those.

No hotmail emails allowed and don't post a topic without pics of the PCN and the road where it happened as shown on Google Streetview.
