Cancelled holiday

I have to cancel our family package holiday (Lanzarote) with Jet2 for June 2022, we were supposed to go this year 2021 in June but moved it till next year because of Covid.
We have paid 460 deposit and this is including admin fees we where charged for moving the 2021 holiday to 2022. When i rang to cancel i thought that they might have offered some kind off refund but nothing is this correct/right?

I would think that their standard booking terms and conditions would apply. Have you read through those?
The administration fee to move the 21 holiday would not typically be refunded either. That action was done.2 -
Can you not ask if you can move it to a new date that suits you ?1

If you cancel, then the usual way forward to recover your deposit is to claim on your travel insurance if the reason for cancellation is covered.2

Totes support this one. Sometimes they either have you claim your deposit or convert it into a travel voucher.Alan_Bowen said:If you cancel, then the usual way forward to recover your deposit is to claim on your travel insurance if the reason for cancellation is covered.1 -
Without knowing the reason for cancellation it's difficult to comment.Changing your mind, (disinclination to travel) is not grounds for the tour operator to offer a refund.Did Jet2 run the original 2021 package deal flights, or did they cancel them ?0

If an admin charge was made it's because the OP chose to change the date rather than Jet2 cancelling the flight. In a situation where Jet2 cancel and offer a new date there may be an additional cost if the new holiday date is dearer, but no admin fee. Cancelling 9 months ahead of the travel date certainly suggests the OP no longer wishes to travel then. That may be due to other commitments, but will still be classed as 'disinclination to travel' and probably won't be covered by travel insurance either, but the specific reason will determine that.
