Won't you be emailing it as described in that list you were following when you filed your Defence?
Your Claim Form gives you a good idea about whether you send it to the Claimant or their solicitors.
I'll leave you to look at that.3 -

The forum instructions just state "You must complete this by the date given, and send it back to Northampton" - so i'm assuming that is the physical form I have been sent? or should I do this online?

The place to start for all questions is the NEWBIE sticky but since you are part way through the process the defence template is where you might have been and in that you would have/will found/find this: -If you have no access to a scanner, then put an electronic signature in it. When you are happy with it, your defence is to be filed via email as suggested here:
- Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number (check it very carefully) and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'URGENT RE CLAIM XXXXXXXX - Please find my Defence attached.
- After filing your Defence, there is more to do.
- Do not be surprised to receive an early copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire and the usual intimidating template letter saying they 'intend to proceed'. Nothing of interest there. Just file it.
- Wait for your own Directions Questionnaire from the CCBC, or download one from the internet - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/form-n180-directions-questionnaire-small-claims-track , and then complete it as described by bargepole in his 'what happens when' post linked from post #2 of the NEWBIES thread - https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/64350585#Comment_64350585
- The completed DQ should be returned by email to the CCBC to the same address and in the same way as your Defence was filed earlier.
- Send a copy of your completed DQ to the Claimant (or their solicitor if they are using one). Their postal address is on your Claim Form but you can find an email for them by searching this forum, or Google it, because a DQ sent by email is OK and then you know/can prove it's been sent.

ahh thank you I see where I have gone wrong now. I was skipping ahead without having completing the steps in https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6108153/suggested-template-defence-to-adapt-for-all-parking-charge-cases-where-they-add-false-admin-costs/p1
Might be worth putting those steps in the main newbie thread, just a suggestion
I will get the DQ emailed off pronto
Thanks again1 -
N180 now sent to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk and the Solicitors.
When it comes to writing a Witness Statement, should I attach the subject access request e-mail about how they "do not have a facility to track payments made and therefore, this cannot be provided to you" ?
...and then state that: they have no evidence on whether or not any payment was made, therefor no evidence to support the alleged driver failed to pay and therefor no evidence to prove their case ?...and should I get image of the car park entrance from google street view to support my argument for poor signage at the entrance?
thanks again

I just received a "Notice of Allocation to the Small Claims Track (Hearing)" with a date that the hearing of the claim will take place, It says by 11th March I will need to have filed on the court and serve each party any written evidence. Is this the witness statement part? thanks0

All those are described in the second post of the NEWBIES thread.3
