Home Insurers who cover contents in temporary storage?

As the title suggests, my home insurance is due for renewal at the end of the month. At the end of June, I moved a large amount of my contents into a temporary storage unit whilst I put my house on the market (I downsized from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom place about 4 years ago and so it was very cluttered as I still had a lot of stuff to sort through). I took out storage cover which is currently about £66 every 4 weeks on top of the storage cost itself. As my home insurance is currently less than £120 a year, I've already spent more on 2 months storage insurance than I would if I was able to just keep it all in the house under my home and contents policy!

So my question is, does anyone know of any home insurers who offer cover whilst contents are in storage for any length of time, as I cannot see any from my research so far? My current provider (Tesco Bank) confirmed they don't when I asked before I started moving my stuff out. I note that Direct Line only offer cover for up to 72 hours during a house move, and I also inquired with John Lewis who were very helpful but also confirmed they only cover contents during the removal process, not being kept away from the house short or long term.

I suspect the answer is no one does, so I'm just going to have to renew the home insurance and keep paying storage insurance separately until I'm able to move and transfer everything into my new home (whenever that may be). Just thought I'd ask in case anyone else has had a similar experience and found a better solution than a separate temporary contents policy. Obviously I expect to pay more for my home insurance than I am currently for the extra cover, but hopefully it would still work out cheaper than the current arrangement.

Thanks for any help or advice!
