Highview Parking - Template Sent but not Cancelled!

Good Afternoon all!

Firstly would like to say thanks to those who have created the template, it is great! On this occasion for me I sent the standard template, but did not receive a cancellation, instead I received the following:

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your correspondence relating to your Parking Charge.

The representations stated in your correspondence have been noted and considered. Please forward to us the full name and address of the driver at the time this charge was incurred so that we can update our records accordingly.

Please find the time stamped images of your vehicle here below.

Entrance:

Exit:

We are placing this Charge on hold for 14 days from the date of this email to allow you to provide the details requested.

Yours faithfully,

Highview Parking Ltd.

Does anyone have any suggestions of next steps? Do I resend the template again as it appears they ignored it the first time?

Thanks in advance

Rob

Ignore that letter. It is just trying to get you to tell them who was driving.

Wait patiently for your appeal rejection letter and then move on to the third post of the NEWBIES thread where you will find guidance on creating a winning PoPLA appeal.

As above , it's a stalling tactic where they hope that you stupidly dob in the driver , don't fall for it , sit on your hands and wait for their decision

It hasn't failed until they reject it and issue a Popla code

However , your best option is plan A , a retailer or landowner cancellation , as explained in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , nothing beats a landowner cancellation !!  Nothing ! So do it asap , without revealing who was driving , use the royal WE. !  We visited , we received a PCN reference abc123 blah blah

  • Thanks very much all, so this doesn't sound like the end of the appeal at this point, just an interim trying to catch us out! I'll hang tight and see how it goes.

Correct , lol. It is what it is and they have every right to ask for Driver details and place it on hold LOL. 😁😁

You are not legally bound to give that information , or reply !

You would be advised to contact the retailer , managing agent or landowner , to get it cancelled by them

This is easy, and they will cancel.

Highview have never used the POFA and I am amazed when people ask what to fo with an interim begging letter whinging that Highview want to know who was driving. It's kind of obvious the way this is heading...

You already know what will win this (no keeper liability, as ever with Highview) so I am not sure why this 'on hold' begging letter put you off the win you will be receiving in due course.

Clearly it's to be ignored.  Tell us when they give up huffing and puffing!

Have you complained to your MP?

And have you registered for the alleged 'Data breach' group claim v the DVLA, run by Keller Lenkner?  No win no fee, they are representing hundreds of consumers (see other thread about it).
