Credit card before moving home

Hello,

My house is under offer at the moment, working through the legal stuff now. I would like to apply for a 0% credit card to help make some purchases for the next house I am moving to (Worth noting I won't have a mortgage on the new place I am just selling my existing house and clearing the mortgage with the house sale). Is it possible to apply for a credit card, knowing that I will be moving shortly, I don't want it to go against me.

Thanks so much for your help in advance.

  • There should be no issue with this.  The usual advice is not to apply for any credit in the run-up to a house purchase, as there's a chance it could affect your mortgage application.  But if there's no mortgage to worry about then there's no problem.
