Virgin Credit card failed direct debit

Hello there, I'm wondering if anyone could help
My virgin credit direct debit was due today, but it wasn't taken, and it's usually taken at 8am. So I made a quicker payment and it's now showing as pending, does that mean the payment is finished for this month and I won't be charged a late fee or have a missed payment on my credit report?

Sunday isn't a banking day. Direct debits normally get taken out on the Monday. In theory you shouldn't be charged a late fee etc.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Virgin regularly set my DD to a weekend and take it next working day, the account shows as taken on the due day. Likely the DD will still be taken tomorrow.

Same as my TV and computer don't work on a sunday. How do we expect automatic banking computers to work on a sunday lol.0 -
On my statement it said dd will be taken on 26 September which is a Sunday. However was taken on 27 September but on my Virgin account shows as taken on the 26 September with a nice thank you.MovingForwards said:Sunday isn't a banking day. The reason for this is that they won't have the money for a few days after it's taken from you. The systems automatically credit it assuming it will go through. It's only if it doesn't that it is reversed and shows as not being paid.CRISPIANNE3 said:
