Your mum asked yesterday, and she was told that until you face up to your relationship issues (in case of divorce) that categorically she nor her husband would be entitled to the benefits they receive. You have however, worded this without including benefits, if she is paying rent herself on the housing association then yes she can indeed own another property, I believe.2

Don't think the OP realised how easy it was to find out he was using his mum's account to ask the same question after she said she would turn down his request...Faodail said:Your mum asked yesterday, and she was told that until you face up to your relationship issues (in case of divorce) that categorically she nor her husband would be entitled to the benefits they receive. You have however, worded this without including benefits, if she is paying rent herself on the housing association then yes she can indeed own another property, I believe.2 -

Don't forget there's this one too.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I took it that the son didn't get the answer he wanted and he is trying to get a different opinion to get his mother back on board. Or maybe you're right and she's under pressure from him because she rejected his request after his proposal got throughly rubbished in the first thread. There's no benefit for her in this situation other than keeping the son happy.newdriver101 said:
