Issue with Middletons

My father was mis sold a scooter by Middletons. They say that because he is outside of the cooling off period they can’t do anything and we need to go through the furniture ombudsman. Just wondering whether anyone has any experience with this? Thanks

Well they can do anything they want, including actually dealing with the issue but if they're stonewalling him then he'll either have to go to the Furniture Ombudsman or take it to small claims.

Of course, the latter in particular depends on whether he was truly missold the, presumably, sofa.

sofa or scooter?  How was he missold
  • Scooter I suspect.  Can't find sofas on their website.

Without more info it is difficult to help the OP.

In what way was it mis-sold?
    How was it paid for?

The furniture ombudsman won't do much good with a scooter, unless they're just talking about the seat.

    I didn't mention the ombudsman.

But the OP did - that's who Middletons believe should resolve the dispute.

That may be so, but it is y3sitsm3 that has offered the item to be a sofa.  The op describes it as a scooter.

Yes, because the OP mentioned a scooter but talked about the furniture ombudsman.  It seemed far more likely that "scooter" was a miscorrected typo than "furniture ombudsman" was.

They said it was a sofa, but it turned out to be a scooter.
