Samsung Cloud storage ending - what do I need to do (not even sure I have anything on the cloud!)

Please excuse anything in this post that doesn't make sense - I am so untechnicaI it's ridiculous.

I have a Samsung S7 and all the pictures I've taken with it seem to go to my Google account. I don't recall ever having anything to do with a Samsung Cloud. Can anyone tell me what will happen when the Cloud is finally withdrawn (which I believe is in a few days) and what changes I will notice on my phone? What will disappear?

I'm panicking about this even though, up till now, I didn't even know there was a Samsung Cloud! As I say, technology is not my bag, so please don't judge me too harshly...

I suspect that the end result will be that your phone appears to work faster, as it will no longer be backing up data that you had no idea it was backing up. (I'm an Apple iPhone user and unaffected by this issue).

There are some instruction here on how you can go about collecting your data from the cloud. I would suggest that you try to collect it all, and see what there is: Changes to Gallery Sync, Samsung Cloud Drive and Premium Storage | Samsung UK

Thanks for that, I've had a quick poke about in the Samsung Cloud bit and all the stuff it mentions that it backs up - settings, messages, home screen, etc (you're right, stuff I had no idea it was backing up!) doesn't really make much sense to me. No mention of photos and that's all I was bothered about. I will try to collect my data, as you suggest, in the next couple of days. Just can't shake the feeling that something drastic will happen that I'm not prepared for!

Your photos will all be on your Google account so you won't lose them....
