Just to try and keep all the current info in one place to save rooting through OFGEM press releases.... avro and green now added...
Hub energy >>>>>>>>>>>>> Eon Next
PfP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> British Gas
Money Plus energy >>>>>>> British Gas
Utility Point >>>>>>>>>>>>> EDF
People's energy >>>>>>>>> British Gas
Avro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Octopus
Green >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shell (? odd choice!!)
Avro >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Octopus
Green >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Shell (? odd choice!!)
unfortunately this means it's highly likely that SP or OVO will end up getting Green's and/or Avro's 800K+ former customers....

Scottish power made such w complete and utter balls up when they took over my switch solr from tonik that they credited me for all the energy I had whilst with them over a grand0

Had no issues with Scottish Power when they were the SoLR for Yorkshire Energy. Other than it being fairly slow... but I just sat on my hands and did what they asked when they asked and it all worked out fine. Around 8 weeks in total and that included switching back out of SP to a different supplier, and receiving YE credit.0

Doesn’t seem like the worse case scenario.worrywart_3 said:Scottish power made such w complete and utter balls up when they took over my switch solr from tonik that they credited me for all the energy I had whilst with them over a grand
if they are going to have a delay then it’s surely better to owe them than having the stress of them owing you.0 -
I heard Octopus Energy referred to as one of the big 7 the other day and wonder if they are likely to be the SoLR for Green/Avro. Love to Power Greg has been interviewed several times in the past week.

Correct. Presumably that is why you didn't include them in your OP either?GunJack said:
Anyway, taking longer than usual. I wonder if Ofgem are struggling to find a SOLR so will be nominating the 'volunteers' instead?
Looks like a bad idea of mine to post that link. Since I posted it, looks like the list has been reduced to just those that have failed since February 2021, but the wording above the list remains unchanged.
A longer list, said to go back to 2016, is still available on wikipedia

The traditional Big 6 are no more.Mabel2012 said:I heard Octopus Energy referred to as one of the big 7 the other day and wonder if they are likely to be the SoLR for Green/Avro. Love to Power Greg has been interviewed several times in the past week.
nPower is now part of Eon group
SSE is now part of Ovo group

I really hope I don't end up with SP, never had any faith in them. If and I know it's a big if I end up with Octopus I would consider that a bonus in what is in reality a real s**t show in the current energy market.
I would definitely prefer to pay Octopus or someone similar my new price cap charges than ANY of the big 6.0
