Thank you for you reply, but no, that doesn't seem to be the case, look at this....I am asking if Virgin have also upgraded their 'essentials' as BT have...   https://www.bt.com/exp/broadband/home-essentials
Sorry that I could not be of more help.

You asked about Virgin and I linked you to their product, with the date of the page only November last year saying it was a new product launch then:

"Virgin Media Essential Broadband will be available to those receiving Universal Credit. It will come with a speed of 15 Mbps and a fixed price of £15 per month, with no fixed-term contract length and no price changes while benefit payments are being received."

That remains current on the Virgin website.  Given the service level was only launched last November, I would not expect any review until this coming November, at which time Virgin may enhance the service level if they feel they need to for the sake of competing with BT.  It is entirely possible that Virgin will feel that they don't need or want to, depending on how profitable such a product is for them (including calculated value of corporate social responsibility linked to the service).

Now you want the "upgraded" BT service, so that's fine, but was not what the question was.

Really, for more detail than the respective providers publish I can only suggest that this will need a call to discuss with the chosen provider.

Hope that helps, and hope you can get the suitable package at a good price.

Your best bet is actually checking the products available on the Virgin website or contact Virgin directly if you aren't getting the answers here but from my understanding the answer to your original question is no, there is only 1 essentials package.

As you are probably aware the VM website is a joke.... getting through on the phones is a nightmare and most of the staff are clueless. Thank you for your reply.
