Submitting final readings to Utilty Point

I had an email this afternoon from Utility Point asking me to submit meter readings for a final bill (I'd just completed my switch to them from EDF after being transferred to them when Green Network Energy ceased trading, now I'm going back to EDF😖).
Anyway, I realise 1000s of others are probably trying to submit their readings and maybe that's why I keep getting an error message. Has anyone successfully submitted readings today?

I successfully submitted a read on september 18th which is the day the new more expensive EDF tariff came into affect
I would just keep trying daily until a read gets accepted
Are you trying to give them a read that is not in line with previous usage ? - that is one reason it might be rejected
For example, I known some people have been saying they are going to give a higher than actual read in the hope of paying for some winter usage at the lower UP tariff - this really isnt worth it as the saving is minimal & it can cause problems later down the line with future readings being rejected &/or if a smart meter starts working again
The worst that could happen is that you cannot register a read & that they under estimate your read for september 18th so you pay for more units at the higher EDF price

You're not alone. I received the same email asking me to upload a meter reading and have the same problem. I can log in OK (all-be-it slow) but then (eventually) get a "500 Error. Sorry, an error has occurred.". The fact it's so slow to login and show the error might well indicate that their server is being overloaded with people trying to upload their meter readings and causing the server to fall over. I'll try again early morning when it should be quiet to see if it works then.0
