Green/Avro

I switched to Green on 14 August but soon after was advised that its tariffs were increasing so I switched again ....... to Avro which was due to switch tomorrow (24 September).  I have already made two large direct debit payments to Green, and one further D/D payment to Avro on 15 September, totalling almost £350.  Will I get refunds automatically from both companies or do I have to fight to get my money back now (and from whom as there is no contact with these companies available now)?  Ironically, Avro emailed me today asking for my up to date meter readings to ensure the switch from Green went smoothly tomorrow!  I have to assume this was a preset message and not done to deliberately antagonise me!  All the advice I've seen to date suggests to "sit tight and do nothing for now" but it's very frustrating.

  • Are you not able to recall the direct debit paid to Avro given you were not an actual customer by contacting your bank. Then you just have to worry about green which you should get back in time
