Dealer refusing refund

Sounds like a London dealer my son bought a car from last year, clearly knew issues and had no interest in dealing with them at all. Legal route is the only option if they aren't playing ball but it's not likely to be a quick job.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.1

Given the car is scrap and will cost more to repair than it's worth, your best bet is to reject it and return it to him.Of course he's going to be awfully difficult about it. If he's not opening the gate for you, then get someone else to phone to view a car and use that opportunity to dump it on him - drive it into his yard, with witness, lock it up and post the keys through the door along with a formal letter of rejection and the part of the V5 he gets when you pass it on to him. Then expect some abuse, and have to take him to court about it, for him to phoenix the dealership.0

It's a shame you can't dump it on his forecourt. Legal route is the best bet, small claims court.0
