Amazon: carrier issues

Made an Amazon purchase Monday night (prime next day del). Tues saw update to my phone advising order was 8 stops away etc. This then changed to delivered, handed to resident, no del was made nor attempted.
Went to Amazon site and could only engage with a bot, using pre offered responses, none of which applied to my situation, and only then being indtructed by the bot to wait until Thursday for del. Amazon states the delivery was made and janded to me, which is not true.
What can be done about this. The last order I placed the samething happened, the seller in Germany jumped to put things right, what is going on with Amazon deliveries at the moment?
