Late Fathers old energy account
My father passed away 2 years ago and unbeknown to us had signed unto look after my bills. After about a year my mums mental health started to deteriorate and I started looking after her bills. At this time my fathers energy account was with Avro energy and was in the process of being moved by Look After Your Bills to Utility Point. Now with me being on and off furlough with work and problems with my mum I let the change happen and after about 4 months told Utility Point my father had passed and if my mum could take over the account, just a straight name swap. No, they would have to close my dads account, credit the 5 months or so payments he had made and then open up a new account in my mums name and she would have to pay for the 5 months of energy use and then pay monthly, which we did. Now Utility Point never paid back the money to my fathers account and we have just also found out Avro still owed my father money from the switch, as he was in credit with them. Now as neither accounts in my dads name have used any energy for over 5 months the accounts haven't been passed to a new provider as per my mums, how do I go about getting this money back?
All help appreciated as my mum really needs this money.

Do you have probate (Grant of representation or administration) ?If not, getting any company to talk to you is going to be difficult.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I was the executor of his will which I sent to Utility Point with the death certificate and they have been talking to me as they kept saying they would pay the money back, but never did.0
