Changing accounts following divorce
I am hoping that someone might be able to help. I have been with British Gas for the last 10 years but my ex husband was the main account name. We have now divorced and the account needs to move into my name. However British Gas have said that they are closing the account and I need to open a new account. Is this correct and do I need to stay with British Gas or can I move to a cheaper supplier?

Yes it's correct and once you've opened your account you can move to a new supplier.
