Time between return of searches and exchange

I'm sure it's a bit of a how long is a piece of string question, but..
Searches are due back in two weeks, assuming they don't bring up any problems, how long roughly is it from then to agreeing a completion date?
And can a date be set for exchange of contracts and completion before the searches come back?
Thanks.

A month to a year on average30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.2

Our searches came back around a month ago and our solicitors have said they won't discuss completion dates until they have raised enquiries/ they've been answered.
The problem is they haven't even raised the enquiries yet!
Hopefully if there's only a few enquiries and your solicitors are efficient and the seller/their solicitor answers them in good time then you can start discussing exchange/completion dates after that. Good luck!0 -

I'll keep my fingers crossed for closer to a month than a year 😲

Our searches came back within 3 weeks, as did our buyers. It’s the queries that are raised off the back of them that cause so much delay. As a seller, I answered the queries the same day they were raised, and they concluded they were happy with them.As a buyer, I raised enquiries 6 weeks ago and was told 2 weeks ago they were due back in, but every time we’ve asked since, we’re told that more enquiries have had to be raised off the back of the responses!0

How long is a piece of string?
Our searches brought to light that the 10 year old house we were purchasing had no water account set up (so had never paid for water since it had been built!).
Sadly the searches are only one piece of a very intricate puzzle, so it depends on a multitude of factors coming back.
Unfortunately, the only thing that is certain with house-buying, is that nothing is certain.Know what you don't0
