2nd generation smart meters

Hi
At present i have a 1st generation smart meter installed in 2017. How do i get a 2nd generation smart meter installed. Lost count of firms who can't read my present smart meter and have to submit readings manually. Residing in North Lanarkshire.
Cheers
Jimmy

A 2017 SMETS1 meter will most likely get an over the air software/firmware upgrade at some point. There are some very early ones that have to be replaced but most will be upgraded.

All the first gen smart meters are due to be remotely upgraded by the end of this year.
