Has anyone opened a Tesco Internet Saver?
I keep trying, but at the end it tells me I have been timed out due to inactivity.

Yes.
Some recent comments suggest filling in the national insurance number can lead to it not working. If you filled that in, try leaving it blank.1 -
Yes - I opened one a few weeks ago without any problems and did include my NI number.

No issues for me. But did already have a current account with them.1

After several attempts timed out I tried without entering my NI number and this worked for me.After opening, I could transfer funds into the a/c but got an error when transferring out. Tesco had sent a signature form for completion and I'm guessing the a/c is not fully open until this is returned. The completed form was sent to them last Thursday and today I was able to transfer out OK.1

The Tesco Internet Saver can't be used for withdrawals for 3 to 5 days after opening so this is normal. I'm on my 17th and it always works this way. Any money deposited will earn interest, just don't transfer anything you will need for a few days

I had this and rang Tescos. It was a 'known problem' and they opened the account for me over the phone. 0800 505 555.But it's a long-winded process. Have to wait for a letter, then return it by post with your signiture. Only then will they send you log-on and account details!1

Thanks everyone. I left my N.I. number blank as suggested and it all went through no problem.0

No problems opening the latest Internet Saver paying .59% interest, new sort code and account number straight away. But I already had a Tesco internet account with an Internet Saver with very small balance and low interest rate.0

I've already got 2 Tesco Internet Savers but with nothing in either since the interest rate went so low. Can I open another and still get 0.59%?

Pretty sure you can. I have in the past always opened new Tesco savings accounts when they brought out better rates. At one stage, I had at least 6 in parallel.1
