Hi All, We booked a cottage holiday for next year during August. The cottage was booked through a well known holiday lettings firm. The reviews were generally good and photos and description also good. We paid a £600 deposit. Two weeks later some very negative reviews of the cottage have been posted from holiday makers saying photos don't match reality, cottage is dirty, furnishings worn, mouldy etc. Can anyone advise as to what to do please? We no longer want to stay in the cottage due to these reviews. We think we will lose our deposit but feel that the booking site is at fault plus owner for initial reviews not matching reality. Is there any chance of getting a refund? thanks

it would depend on the T&Cs of your booking and if the deposit is non- refundable .
You could take your concerns to the company - by next August they could have cleaned it up and have new furnishings.1
