"Offers over" on house listing

I'd tell them to do one. They can't accept your offer AND hold another viewing hoping for a better offer. That is contradictory.1

Of course they can. They can hold viewings right up until exchange of contracts, hence sold subject to contract.nicknameless said:I'd tell them to do one. They can't accept your offer AND hold another viewing hoping for a better offer. That is contradictory.2 -
What is the sellers position for moving?Lucylo said:Lots of advice we can agree on, thank you everyone.
Slight update -
We went in at 195k yesterday, we thought it was reasonable. It got accepted however they want to do a last viewing today. Bit annoyed with them really if they think they can keep us on the table and then gazump us or start a bidding war.
Think we've both just decided we won't be messed around with now, we're currently chain free and wanting a quick exchange so we don't want this sneaky behaviour.
If only it we're that simple ?!
Are they buying another property and dependent on their seller for exchange/completion?
Can they give a quick exchange?0 -

But they HAVEN'T accepted the offer otherwise they wouldn't be inviting more viewings. I'm sure they're not just letting people look around for fun, unless it's a stately home or museum?

That's irrelevant. Even if they had accepted the offer the EA/seller can still do viewings in the hope for a higher price right up to exchange of contracts. Im not saying that's what they will do but that they can do.NameUnavailable said:Irishpearce26 said:

I think you know what I mean Mr Pedant - can't in good faith / with good will and expect the same in return.Irishpearce26 said:

And you can and should stipulate that the offer is subject to no further viewings.Irishpearce26 said:

Yes exactly but unless that's in the MOS then they will do what they want.nicknameless said:

You've contradicted yourself here. Saying an EA cant accept an offer and hold viewings then you've said they haven't accepted the offer otherwise why would they hold further viewings.nicknameless said:
