You can't transfer liability by naming yourself as driver because you are a third party.
Your daughter CAN transfer liability to you by replying to the LBC and giving your name and postal address and stating that she has met the requirements to transfer liability before court action and they must take the matter up with the driver. If they sue her anyway, it gives her a very strong legal defence. Tell her not to be fazed by a reply telling her she is 'too late' to transfer liability; that's untrue but they like to prey on people's uncertainty.PRIVATE 'PCN'? According the OP's post @ 7.17pm it actually appears to be a Garage hired car so I don't think the "Daughter" has any part in this apart being a passenger and a potential witness.Coupon-mad said:You can't transfer liability by naming yourself as driver because you are a third party.
