We’ve just exchanged on our first house (move in on the 1st!) and we’ll mostly need new flooring throughout. At least some of the flooring will be wooden but undecided which type yet so I’ll be watching this thread with interest. Will make sure to get some samples too.0 -
So much wood type flooring available,my personal choice is Krono original 12mm V groove laminate
Laid on fiberboard underlay. get all my stuff from Selco (trade).
Just fitted miles of the stuff, Brissac oak effect this time. Undercutting skirting boards etc was requiredit's a pain butt the finished job looks nicer than beading.
Have fitted customer supplied laminate, some tbh is not good quality. Many boards are just waste. Some boards have different widths by a couple mm
Preparation is very important, have always unpacked all the boards first to check quality, pattern etc. The boards of less quality and the smaller widths have their uses.
When choosing laminate/engineered floor have a very good look at displays in diy stores. Handle the product.
Yes its very diy able, plenty of tips online
