Eon Next v Sainsburys Energy
Hi All, My first time posting here.
I am changing supplier from Octopus, and it price is the same between the two (and it seems parent company too).
Can anybody share if there are any other differences apart from price?
Ie does one have an app where the other doesn't. Or does one have an easier to navigate online dashboard?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,Sainsbury offer the Warm Home Discount, and you’ll get 6,000 Nectar points, worth £30 (or 3,000 points, worth £15 for an elec-only switch), with this tariff, if you use the CEC.

Sainsbury's Energy is run by Eon Next, it is the same service platform. Sainsbury's offers some Nectar bonuses to its energy customers.0

The nectar points swung it for me when I switched this afternoon, if it was not for that either would have been fine as they were quite competitively priced compared to a lot of what I saw for 2y fixes0

Thanks all for your input. I did see the nectar card offer with sainsburys but opted for Eon next in the end as I don't use a nectar card, and like having an app for checking usage data, readings etc. Both appeared to be a lot cheaper than what i was being offered by my current supplier. I'm also not eligible for warm home discount, so that did not factor in. Hopefully the thread will allow others to see which use case affects them most too.0

EON must be absolutely swamped with requests right now...
Whether direct or via Sainsbury's, they really are the only show in town if you want a fix that's not outrageously expensive...
Can only hope they are sitting on a LOT of energy futures contracts at a reasonable price!2 -
I don't think E.ON Next have an app unless it's only just launched.0

Should have checked the App store first as it looks like they have finally launched one.0

The E.ON Next App launched a couple of weeks ago and is really very pleasant to use.
They also offer £50 credit if you sign up using a refer a friend link, which swung it for me over the nectar points.
